Either the game would crash or the Mod didn't work. SparkIV is a archive viewer/editor for IMG/RPF archive files used in GTAIV. However, this still didn't allow me to spawn any car! The Car Spawner simply didn't work. I downloaded three different Car Spawner mods and placed the necessary files in the root folder but only ONE combination worked (where I could play the game). There is yet another file, which is the actual ASI loader usually named CarSpawner.asi that also goes into the root GTAIV folder. This file needs to be placed in the root GTAIV folder along with another quirky file called ScriptHook.dll. So, the question is, how does one properly edit/rename the cars in order to have several custom cars/mods?Ģ.) Car Spawners require something called an ASI loader which is just some file called dsound.dll. The issue is, none of the Car Spawn Mods work!ġ.) Spark IV to load the specific car files (however ALL the cars are called infernus so how do I implement several cars? Is there a way to rename them and make it work? This is because for every car you download and 'install' using Spark IV, you need to edit the 'handling.bat' file in the 'data' folder in order to make it work. I wanted to download some cool cars to drive around in and so I searched for the necessary Mods and I got them.

It works great and the game looks superb (except everything seems a bit washed out ). Patched it to Version 1.0.4.0 (as latest 1.0.7.0 doesn't work well with Mods) and installed the icENhancer 1.25 Mod for graphics. Just got GTA 4 for the PC a couple of days ago and installed it.
